I help run a hardware store which as you can imagine has about 20,000 skus.
A huge issue I was constantly running into was when I was creating our weekly stock PO from our primary supplier which would consist of 200-400 items. This wouldn't be no big deal with the new batch PO import feature (thank goodness for that), but the problem is not all of the items exist within my square inventory.
I'm typically ordering about 10-30 new skus (as things constantly rotate) and needed to distinguish what those items were, add them to my Square inventory, and then build my batch PO.
Since Square doesn't have a feature to add new items while also checking it against existing ones so there are no duplications, I actually created a Excel sheet that compares the items that I'm ordering with the ones in my library based on a specified column like the sku or GTIN and spits out a new sheet with ONLY the items that don't already exist in my library so I can then add just those items.
