There are many ways to engage with these experts, including: forum events, webinars, and additional events listed on the Events Calendar. 📆 Event Calendar The Community Event Calendar is the hub that connects you with forum, virtual, and in-person events! Be sure to bookmark the Event Calendar on your desktop or mobile device, and you'll be able to keep tabs on upcoming programming. Each post will have registration instructions and you can sign up for automated reminders. ⌨️ Forum Events What is a Community Forum Event? A forum event is a question and answer session — also referred to as an "Ask Me Anything" (AMA) discussion — that takes place in writing, within the thread itself. This format allows you to get in touch directly with a Square product team member or industry expert within the Community forum on a specific date and time! How to participate: The host (or moderator) will publish an introduction post for the topic at hand where you can reply with questions, suggestions, and other feedback leading up to a given date/time. The host then replies in the thread at the date/time mentioned in the introduction. Can't make it to the forum event/AMA at the specific time? No sweat — once you've published your reply, keep an eye out for email notifications and refer back to the host's summary of the discussion at a later date. 🎙 Webinars and Virtual Events What are Community Webinars and Virtual Events? Community webinars and virtual events feature online workshops, product demos, and moderated panel discussions in real-time, via a video or live chat platform. Various teams at Square host webinars and we also source webinars with third parties for in-depth resources that are valuable for your business. How to participate: Keep an eye on the Community Event Calendar for approaching events with the 'webinar' tag. Look for the blue 'Register' or 'RSVP' button within the post, then follow the steps to enroll in the webinar. Know before you go, and come ready to engage! You can expect to meet with fellow Community members and Square team members for a variety of discussions, workshops, and networking activities. Here, you can engage in post-event conversations, share insights, ask follow-up questions, and stay connected with fellow attendees. How to participate: Keep an eye on the Community Event Calendar for invites to post your questions to AMAs and product Q&As. In addition, if you have questions or reflections you'd like to share after attending a virtual or live event, we invite you to come to this forum to post your thoughts. 📚 Video Library What is the Community Video Library? The Community Video Library is the one stop shop for all event recordings — from product webinars to member interviews like the Let’s Talk Business series. It offers on-demand access to a growing collection of educational videos, giving you a resource for content whenever you need it. How to participate: Event recordings will be available within a week after each event. To review a topic, simply sort by category and click into the post. We’ll also include any additional resources on the recording page, along with links to relevant Community groups and related content series. Hey Square Readers, We hope you’ve started to dive into reading Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara! Last week we kicked things off with a baseline discussion on your own experiences with exceptional hospitality. Today we’re covering what Unreasonable Hospitality is, and exploring how to provide it to your customers. What is Unreasonable Hospitality? The author explains that providing small acts of hospitality can absolutely thrill your customers, make it feel like you’re performing magic, and make their experience with your business a story that they’ll remember forever. Delivering incredible service for someone in a time of need can transform their day, relieve sorrow even for a minute, and create a deep emotional connection for them with your business. It’s thoughtfully putting your customers needs first in a way that is deep and meaningful to them to create a catered experience. It can be something as small as giving a genuine welcome and having a meaningful conversation, a personal touch of remembering a birthday or a family detail, an act of service like feeding their parking meter, or a Surprise & Delight gesture of providing a welcome gift or thank you goodbye gift. It should be something thoughtful and meaningful to your customers that fills a need that they have, and references a conversation you’ve had together. How can you provide Unreasonable Hospitality? Now let’s brainstorm ideas for our own businesses, and give each other some suggestions too! Again, this is a pure brainstorm here, no idea is too big or extravagant. This is Unreasonable Hospitality, after all. Only after you’ve found some big ideas that you like, then next time we'll figure out how to do it in an affordable, scalable, and realistic way. Hello Artists and Makers! I hope your 2025 is already off to a very productive start. I'm looking forward to creating new items and designs for my products, and looking to invest in a paper cutter to help work a bit more smarter this year. I'm looking for any suggestions for specific brands that you've used; my specific requirements... I use Macintosh computers, and also Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create digital designs. I'll probably be printing on an inkjet printer, so I think I'll have to add printed crop marks which will be read by the paper cutter. I currently cut all my designs using hand scissors. I'm leaning toward a Circut machine, and I'm aware of Silhouette as another brand, but I'm open to suggestions. If you use one of these machines please join the conversation...and be sure to post a pic of some of your work. I'd love to see how you use these tools!
