How do i get my free magstripe reader?

Hi.

I want to use square to accept payments on the go. I saw Square was advertising a free reader for anyone who signs up. I signed up and was not even offered the product. Now when I add it to my cart, it wants me to pay...

So I'm here now essentially begging for the product I was supposed to be getting for free as per their advertisement... How do I proceed? 😒

The offer for a free Swipe Reader is unfortunately not available in Australia, because Australia is reliant on Tap and Chip cards. The free Swipe reader will unfortunately not work for processing Australian-issued cards because it will only accept Swipe cards (still the standard in the US but not Australia). It is not available as a stand alone product in Australia.

To process an Australian issued card with Square you'll need to use Chip or Tap, which is why the only reader available in our market is the Contactless + Chip reader. This is a different and more complicated device and will support Australian Chip and Tap cards, which can't be processed via Swipe in Australia.

Not sure what gave you guys the impression I was from Australia...

So how do I get the magstripe reader? I'm a first-time signup, I've never used your platform before so there's no way the system is mistaking me for an old account.
