I have a client who has an order entry system, and takes payments using Square. He does not want to rewrite the order entry system to be a front-end to Square, but he does want to be able to pull from Square the payment details for an order. He would be willing to enter a code or something from the receipt to locate the associated transaction(s). As far as I can see, the Square receipts don't show any unique identifier for the transaction, and even if they did, the APIs only allow transactions to be retrieved by date range and location. Thus the requirement does not seem possible to implement. Am I missing anything? Is there any way, given a receipt, to get the details for the associated transaction(s) using the API?
