How to change your language settings

Even if you created Square account in Japan, most of the features/UIs can be displayed in English. 

 

Square POS App

If the language setting on your device  (iPad, iPhone, Android) is English, the app will be displayed in English.

 

Notification emails from Square

The language setting on your locations will be applied to the notification email.

Here are some of the Email notifications from Square:

  1. Per Payment: Receive an email after every completed transaction.
  2. Per Refund: Receive an email every time a refund is issued.
  3. Per Deposit: Receive an email after every initiated deposit.
  4. Daily Sales Summary: Receive emails about your sales at the end of each day.
  5. Inventory Alerts: Receive a daily email of items that are low or out of stock.

Digital Receipts

At this point, Digital Receipts are not supported by multiple languages. Please note even if your location settings or the browser settings have been set to English, the UI of digital receipts will not be displayed in English.

 

Square Dashboard

If your browser’s language setting is set to English, Square Dashboard will be displayed in English.
