FR: cost prices and retail prices to four decimal places

Feature Request: allow cost prices and retail prices to four decimal places

Hi @tranguyen

We need cost prices to four decimal places. This is important because without it, gross prices are inaccurate.

For example, the gross price of an item is £0.50p. The net price is therefore £0.4167p. Currently, we have to enter £0.42p in our PO because Square only permits two decimal places. The problem is that £0.42p net works out to be £0.5040p gross, which is inaccurate by £0.0040p. Over larger quantities the PO shows inaccurate values on the item row total and PO grand total lines, eg 10 units shows £5.04p (when it should be £5.00p) and 100 units shows £50.40p (when it should be £50.00p).

Please pass this information onto your product team.

Thank you.

Hello @tranguyen

Is there feedback from your product team as to where they rank the importance of this feature request and when it might be actioned?

Today, we are trying to buy an item that is priced at £ 0.195 p per unit, but in our purchase order we are allowed to enter £ 0.19 p or £ 0.20 p, but not £ 0.195 p. This, of course, means our PO row values and grand total values are out by a mater of pounds, which is a problem.

Thank you.

Thanks @amjessey for raising this. We don't have a timeline as to what feature requests are prioritised and when they will be implemented. I will make sure to share your feedback with our Product team. If we have an update, we'll update this thread.
