Require Customer selection on a product

Hi,

We have many items, and i know you can manually select a customer before selling, however we have one product that we want to only be able to be sold to registered customers. Is there a way you can have an option in the item, that if you click it and you have not selected a customer, it pops up the customer selection box? We want to track this product to customers, and the team are not selecting it 😞

Short answer is no...... 

Long answer, no you can't 😂 


Unfortunately it's such a specific usage case I can't see the Square team implementing it either. Might be a case of large whips for the staff not doing as they're told?

@tranguyen, I think it would be beneficial that POS prompted the user to add a customer to the sale. For us, we need to add the customer every time. Currently, there is no prompt and it can be easily overlooked and the sale is tendered without a customer.

Also, the process of adding a customer to a sale is cumbersome as the number of clicks required is more than it should be for a fast paced retail environment.
