Square Appointments - allowing certain services on specific days only?

Without adding a staff member (and so upgrading at $50/mo) to split services offered, is there a way to specify services only bookable on specific days?

We need service "A" available M-W / F-Sat and service "B" available only on Thursdays.  I am the only staff and providing both service A and B.

Hi @dbaileyphoto - thanks for taking the time to give context to your situation. I think I am understanding you here, but if my answer seems to miss the mark - please let me know! 😅

 

While service based availability would be considered a feature request, there would be a work-around in this case. You could create an "Employee" and name it after the service you are looking to offer. This "Employee" could be tailored to have availability on specific days, while your normal service could have offered availability on separate times.

Hello @beauty4600! This is a really good question. So we don't have a setting to limit this automatically, but I do have a couple workarounds.

 

You could create multiple staff members and name them "Women AM week 1" and "Men PM week 1". Then you would create personal events for each staff member to limit when the appointments could be booked. 

 

The only downside to this is you'll end up paying $50 dollars a month since you would have to setup 4 staff members in your case. 

 

My other suggestion is to create the services and make sure they're very detailed about who can book and when. Then set your Reservation Guarantee so you have to accept all incoming appointments so you could vet each one. This one requires a bit of manual work and you would have to check it regularly, so you could free up booking time if an appointment was booked incorrectly.

Hello, we have a few different industries offered under the business.  Is there a way to set appointments so certain services are only available to book on defined days?

I offer 3 different durations for services; 60, 90 and 120 minutes. I don't want to offer all of them all of the time. How could I limit the 60-minute service to only 3 times per week?

I am interested in having this service as well. I want to limit my two hour appointments to afternoons

I have one tour that needs to be run at 10am only. Other services that can be scueduled anytime we're open. Can this be done without creating a fake employee and assigning the that special tour service to them only?

Hey all,

 

I'm a photographer and would like to offer clients the ability to book their photo session online. However, I currently only offer two time slots per day, 7 days per week: 7am and 6pm. In the Settings > Calendar & Booking portion of the Appointments Dashboard, there is currently only the option to make appointments on the quarter, half and every hour, as well as by the service duration, but I see no way to make this a set of recurring specific times.

Hi! Hope all is well! I am considering Square Booking for my spa business and want to figure out if it can accommodate the following scenario:
 
I share my spa room with a colleague. She works half the day and I work the other half. We both offer the same services- facials (which require a room) and product pickup (which doesn't require a room, but requires an appt). 
 
Normally, our schedules don't overlap, but I am looking to be able to offer our 'product pickup' service even when my colleague is in session. I don't (and can't) take facials during these blocks though due to room limitations. 
 
Basically, I want a day to look like:
 
8a-2p I'm available for product pickup and facials; colleague is off
2p-8p I'm available for product pickup ONLY; colleague is available for product pickup AND facials
 
Is there any way to accomplish this? Last I read here, Square doesn't allow for limiting services to certain times, but maybe our situation could be made possible by assigning different services to different rooms? I'm not quite sure 🙂 Just exploring.

So I sent this over to our Appointments specialists- and they said unfortunately this is more of a feature request for these kind of capabilities at this time. There's really no way to set specific hours for services aside from the staff member's main hours. 

 

They said you could potentially create a third staff profile to do this but it's not ideal. 

 

They told me they would escalate this request to the Product team for potential future improvements so thank you for putting this in here so they can be made aware of what our sellers are looking for in the Appointments app.

I need to set two morning times 8am and 9 am for 4 hour services to be available in the morning and only at 2pm if they are being booked in the afternoon.  Is there any way to set these three times for just the four hour service?
