I want to add special services WITHOUT any additional time. Every time I select 0 minutes you system changes it to 5 minutes.

I think I have a solution that will help clear this up: it sounds like you may want to list the aromatherapy add-on as an item. You would then be able to include it with the sale when checking out using the Appointments app. Here's how: Check Out with the Square Appointments App. This would allow you to mention in the service description that aromatherapy is available for an additional fee—without affecting the rest of your schedule.

I have some options for people to choose when booking a session that adds cost but not time.  When I tried to add those add-ons I was told I had to pick an amount of time to add - is there a workaround for this?

For appointments, you would need to assign a time allocation to create a service. Having said that, you could include a list of add ons in the description of the service, and then tag them on when you check out the customer in person. Or if you requirement during booking, you could run a separate transaction once the customer arrives.

Hi @squareriverston, and thanks for bring this up! Currently the way things are configured, services can only be created with a fixed duration (more than 0).

I run Private Photography Instruction Workshops and I need a way for workshop clients to add/pay for additional Services, upcharges or value adds which don't add additional time to the workshop. For example: wifi access, each additional person coming with them, tripod rental, monopod rental, lens rental(s), memory card rental(s), portfoilio review, etc.

 

 

I have an aromatherapy add-on that does not require extra time but I can't set my service time duration to zero. It has to be at least 5 minutes which is throwing my entire schedule off! I'm so frustrated, please help!

This feature would benefit my business as well. I am a Massage Therapist and would like to add upcharges to a massage session that does not require more time. For example: hot stones, cupping or foot scrubs.

You can try creating some of the up-charges as an item rather than a service, that way you can simply add the item to the sale before checkout. 

Having a service set at 0 minutes would be most helpful when clients are booking their service(s) themselves online. I would know in advance what services they want and can prepare for it before the session begins.
