I think I have a solution that will help clear this up: it sounds like you may want to list the aromatherapy add-on as an item. You would then be able to include it with the sale when checking out using the Appointments app. Here's how: Check Out with the Square Appointments App. This would allow you to mention in the service description that aromatherapy is available for an additional fee—without affecting the rest of your schedule.

@Tom I’m a bridal boutique offering add on services to styling appointments. I.E styling appointment with food options, cake tasting, etc. I would like to also be able to add these as required prepayment without adding time so that I can keep all my appointment times at the same time each day.
We still are not able to set our services with a 0 minute duration time? I don't see what the big deal is. It's called an add-on feature, in some cases add on services do not require additional time, only an additional cost.
I would also like to add that this is a big problem for me also. I've already had to work around not being able to schedule multiple appointments in blocks (I groom dogs and the come in small groups at 9am and 1:30pm) and because of that appointments can only be 15 minutes that represent and hour. I had to set add-ons at zero minutes in order not to ruin the booking flow and now nobody can book their own add ons online. Its extremely stressful for everybody, my add on income has dropped severely, the time I waste asking people at check in has increased dramatically.....for what? Why can't it be changed?
