Feature Request: Create packages including multiple services via Square Appointments

The title of this post has been edited from the original: How to schedule multi packs with Square Appointments?

Hoping to find some help here.  We offer a service that clients can pay for and book appointments online. Great. The problem is that there are discounted packages if multiple treatments are purchased at one time, if this option is chosen, the client is only able to schedule one appointment as opposed to multiple separate appointments for each of the treatments they purchase.  Is there a way to make this work? Thanks in advance.

Re: Create Recurring Invoices in the Square App

Hello @coriumesthetics!

As a workaround you could use recurrning invoices with Square Appointments for a package, and view the number of invoices remaining in the series. However, you can't images to a recurring invoice series, I'm sorry!

Another workaround is to create a single service for package deals you offer but you'd need to track the number of sessions completed manually. You could ask customers to contact you directly for packages, and then schedule each session in the package deal as a separate appointment to ensure clients are charged for each session.

I'm adding your post to this thread where other sellers are interested in using Appointments to create and manage packages. We'll update the status to give you a heads up about any developments on this feature request.

As for your question about marketing by text - you might like to subscribe to this separate thread for updates!

Re: How to schedule multi packs in appointments

Yep! While we don't have a way to automatically apply discounts when customers book more than one service, you can create bundles as individual services. For example if you are a personal trainer, you can list 5 sessions at the discounted price as one appointment.

When your customer comes in for their first appointment, you then can manually book their next, or all upcoming, appointments through your Appointments Dashboard. In your client information section of Dashboard you have the ability to add notes and view past appointments so you can keep track of their remaining appointments even if the schedule one at a time!

That is rediculous and the reason I dont use Squares Appt service, I use all other of Squares options!  Amazing they have not updated this service to be able to sell and use packages!  I WISH I COULD SIGN UP RIGHT NOW! Support Packaged Visits!

This is a huge disappointment. Every other part of what Square offers seems to be top notch and certainly competitive, but not allowing for packages to be prepaid and deducted as the appointments are used, that is just crazy to me. It seems to be a very basic feature of your competitors. Please get this fixed asap!!

When Customers book online with us our book online page lists each of our spa packages twice because there is a 'single' option and a 'couples' option. Is there a way to combine them so the list is shortened?  Then the customer can then click single or couples.

Hello, @ohanabalispa! This is a great question. You could create a variable or starting at price for just one version of each massage. That way you could create just one service to book, but I would test booking appointments before hand just to make sure everything seems clear to the customer.

Currently we don't offer an option to create a modifier for a service in Square Appointments. I will make sure to share this feature request with our product team!

I'm frustrated about this, too, and have contacted Square a few times on this front. There is a huge audience out there who want to use Square Appointments but need packages. I need the ability to sell a package and schedule appointments then deduct as they are used. Prepaid packages are critical to us as we reserve valuable time on our schedule once the packages are purchased. Any update on this feature, Square?

Hi @Go4Efficient - No updates at this time, but we promise to update this thread as soon as we hear any.

I am a music teacher, and offer bundles of sessions for a lump-sum (discounted) rate. Is there a way to track a client's use of the sessions purchased, and track the remaining number of sessions?

Welcome to the Seller Community @Starrbuccs! 🎉

It's not possible to sell bundles of Appointments at this time or way to track their sessions/remaining sessions automatically (you could add a note to a Client in the meantime).

I certainly see how this feature would be useful for your business and I'll share your interest in this with our Product Team. Thanks for posting and let me know if you have any other questions!

Have you figured this out yet? I own a Massage Studio and tracking this by making appointments is just rediculous. Package deals matter for so many industries. Like Yoga classes and work out classes. Why hasn't this been resolved yet?
