In the last Point of Sale version, we could search the entire item library from within any category. So for example, as a coffee roasterie, we could be operating in the category for "drinks" see all available items in that category as a small list. Then, if a customer purchased an item from a different category, like equipment or roasted coffee, it was very easy to simply search for that item from the top search bar of the category we were in. Now, we either have to back out and select the appropriate category, or back out of the category we're in to utilize the main search bar in the menu screen. It's a major waste of time for the staff that requires 2-3 additional steps (go out, search, select, go back). We'd like to get the option to search the whole library from any category we might currently have selected. I get that this may be considered an improvement by some, but for us it's a big step backwards in convenience and features.
