We would like to request a field under items to store its physical location.
We have thousands of stock items which are stored on multiple shelves. Each shelf has a Location code and we would like to be able to store this code against items in square to make it easy for staff to locate the item when fulfilling orders.
Ideally this location information should be visible both in the POS when you scan/search an item and on online order printouts so that staff know where to pick the item from.
It would also be great to have the option to choose if multiple items can exist in the same shelf location or if an item can exist in multiple shelf locations.
The ability to use barcode scanning to assign items to locations would also be very handy.
Please don't confuse this with the ability to track items across different Physical (store) locations, although the ability to combine store and shelf location would also be very handy.
