Order scheduling: Same day or custom days in future

Square has come leaps and bounds since I scoped it out for a clients a year ago.

 

However same day orders or a custom days ahead value is essential. This is particularly the case for restaurants and small batch product sellers. Obviously in uncertain times, businesses don't want scheduled orders too far out either.

 

i work with a few restaurants and no food ordering platforms or Square have this functionality. I'm syncing with Wordpress websites because there are a couple of plugin with powerful options. But this has involved me having to use the api  to sync Wordpress and Square.. fun and games😵💫

Thanks for writing back into the Seller Community and letting us know this is still something you're hoping we improve! The workaround would be to set up pre-orders with Square Online, which will allow customers to choose a date up to 90 days into the future. Using restricted dates would then allow you to block out any dates within that 90 day window. We're still tracking pre-orders as a feature request as well, which would cover orders for a few days ahead in time. We'll be sure share a post in the community about new Square Online features as the come out - the platform is constantly evolving based on the feedback we receive here 😊
