I do not see a problem with entering three digits of the postal code instead of 2, but I see an inconvenience that I must enter them manually. I did try different formats and different separator characters with no success.
It would be very good to have an option of bulk entry for the postal codes.
Selection by radius is a good choice, but will not work with Montreal and similar cities where one must take a bridge to get to the other end. It might show 0.5 km in radius but will take 15 km in a heavy traffic or small streets with stops that will consume one hour for that delivery.
