different wording for item menu and what is printed in the kitchen

Hello!

Is there a way to change the wording for the kitchen and bar printers?

Right now the items are worded like they are on the guest menus.

The kitchen wants as few words as possible. Example-Grilled Swordfish should be just Swordfish on the kitchen ticket.

High Heaven Vintners Starshower Riesling should be HH Riesling or Starshower

The fewer words they have to read the easier it is to execute.

Thanks!

@kimapollo Not doable without changing the actual name of the menu item. Sorry about that.

Moving you over to our Feature Request board so our Product Team can see.

any update this feature request?

Kitchen names are very important because it causes too much reading in the kitchen in the heat of the moment.

Thank you

I spoke to someone at square and they said they would pass it along to the developers (or some other title, can't remember.)

This is how all my conversations with square CS go-

me: is there a way to.......(fill in whatever my problem of the day is.)  Most POS system have this feature.

cheerful CS person: Ok, what I hear you saying is.......(fill in whatever my problem of the day is.) Is that correct?

me: <sigh>  Yes.

CS person: Great. Sounds like something that could be done. I'll pass this along to.....(whatever department they think might solve the problem but I bet it really goes nowhere.)

me: sigh
