86 Items from POS (not the Dashboard)?

This has been a top requested feature for a long time. Has there been any progress?  It's very inconvenient to always have to have dashboard up (and having to log in regularly) to just 86 an item from so it's not available online (to prevent selling past inventory).   I understand that the online and pos sides are separate, BUT the online inventory comes directly from the POS's item inventory, so I don't see why there's not a toggle within the POS side to make an item unavailable!

It should be able to be done by by the kds and the pos. And there Should be a way to 86 both modifiers and variants and items.
