Latest update proves to be huge step backwards

After last app update the payment process has taken huge step back by including unnecessary options which necessities extra clicks which slows down the taking payment process.

 

The beauty of the square and previous software was I could take payment very quickly and simply by:

Before:

Enter amount

Charge

Tap

Done

 

Now:

Enter amount

Charge

Review -This extra step takes you to a different window, slowing the process down and is now 2 extra clicks

Tap

Done

 

This new REVIEW should be an option not as it is now something you have to do

 

Earlier this year I was at the London Marathon with 54,000 footfall before the update the Square worked beautifully  - after the update at the Liverpool Marathon, it became a pain constantly having 2 extra clicks and an extra window to content with.

Hi @MikeyMike, thank you for your post! 

 

If you're using Square Point of Sale app on a mobile device or tablet, please go into Settings > Checkout > Payments. Under Generalyou will see the option to Skip review sale. If you toggle this to blue, you shouldn't see the review screen when putting through payments.
