60 Days Domain Transfer Domain Name

When I started working on my online store, I bought a dummy domain name so I could set up my inventory, and work on the site, completely out of view of any potential customers or competitors. Well, now I registered the domain name that I want to use, and am getting a message saying I need to "wait a little longer" to transfer the domain name that I WANT to use for my website and online store. 

Do any of you know if I have to wait the full 60 days, as this message suggests, and why? I bought one of the domain names through Square, and the new one through GoDADDY. I own both. I don't understand why I can't just transfer it now.

I can’t transfer the domain name yet, but when I called Square, they gave me the IP/DNS number for me to direct the URL to my store. 

I had to go in and change the A Name on the DNS record, and it now points to the store. 

I don’t think we would have the same number for that DNS record, do you? You may need to call Square to get the correct A Name.
