It is really frustrating our customers now that they need to enter all credit card info every time they make an order through square online ordering system, seems like an easy to add feature, anyone else think it is just redicioulous that square does not offer this? is there a timeline to add such feature?

Hey @rgreder!
Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.
Looks like the best answer in this thread is referring to how customers could add/save payment information with our previous Square Online Store.
As of right now, when a customer completes a payment on a Square-Powered Site, they will have the option to save their shipping address and payment method for a faster checkout experience on their next order. If they opt-in to save their information via Square Pay, Square will collect and store certain information required to authenticate and process their current and future online transactions on Square-Powered Sites.
You can read more about it here, and here's a screenshot for more insight:
Hope that helps! 🌟

Hi @Timsquare, sorry to see you never had a reply on your post here, but the good news is that your customers can save their info for future online store orders. After placing an order to your store - on the order confirmation page - there is a button at the bottom of the page to Create Account.
Once they click that, they'll be sent an email to complete the process. Hope that helps!

I had a customer do this and Square sent him an email to set up a Merchants Account. He was confused because he is a customer not a merchant. Is this what Square should have sent him or is this an error?
Here is his email excerpt:
"I just placed an order and attempted to set up an account with you. The website lets me go through the process, but then doesn't recognize the account when I try to sign in again. At one point Square sent me a link that ended up signing me up for a merchant's account! It's not a big deal, but I thought you should know. Thanks."
Can you tell me what went wrong here. I am concerned others are running into problems too , but not bringing it to my attention.

I'm sorry for the concern this is causing @safsac! Your customers certainly should be prompted to sign up for a merchant account with Square to shop in your Online Store!
Your customers should see the option to Sign In to an Existing Account when they go to check out from your store. This is the only time they need to sign in or out:
If your customer can send you with a screenshot of the email he received from Square it would be great if you could share it here so we can try to identify what happened!

I'm not sure that this is the answer to this question.
We have been having the same issue with our checkouts. Our customers are complaining that they select to "save my information for a faster checkout' box under "review and submit order', yet the next time they order, they are faced with the same cumbersome checkout process.
PLEASE fix this as the issue is frustrating our customers immensely.
***Not sure if there is a difference but I am referring to the online store created thru Weebly***

Hi @dixoncoffee. Thanks for circling back to this issue.
I checked in with a few Weebly specialists and they were able to confirm that there are some glitches with saving customer information on file during the checkout flow right now. I'm sorry for the hassle. I'll keep an eye on any progress made and try to get back to this post to share an update.

Have there been any updated through Weebly on customers being able to save their cc, etc info for faster re-orders?

Hey @brewtoledo,
This post is actually old and not related to the new Online Store.
Customers can save their info for a faster check-out with Weebly. I do it with the coffee shop by my house every day! There's a checkbox on the Checkout page to save their info for next time.
All I have to do is type in my email at the top of the normal Checkout page and it sends my phone a text with a code and then it pulls up all my saved information.
Hope this helps! Here's the full article here from Weebly.

Good to know it's old-haha! I have however done that personally but when I enter my email the next time I don't get the text code so I have to enter all of my info again... anything I'm maybe doing wrong?
On a side note do you know if Square is experiencing credit card payment issues at the moment, we can't accept any through our Square register this morning...

@brewtoledo That is strange and sounds buggy. I've heard of a few bugs with it before depending on the browser used. I always find success with it on Chrome myself.
If you still have the issue after trying another browser I'd reach out to Weebly to see if they can file a ticket for you to dig into what could be happening. You can use our Contact Page to state you need a ticket filed for your online store and it should direct you further there.
Also no outages or issues on our end! That is strange. I would use the Contact Page above to give us a call so we can take a closer look.

@brewtoledo No problem!
Also I can use my saved checkout on my cellphone too so that is odd.
It could be part of the spotty issues they're having that @nika stated above.
