I somehow managed to make a pecan pie (my favorite pie) over the holidays and not destroy it:
I felt like filling could have been a little bit more dark corn syrup mixture/less pecans, but it still tasted good.

I used to make from-scratch pumpkin pie (with real fresh pumpkin!) each year for the holidays, but it's been a while since I have made one. Here's a photo from a few years ago when I was overly ambitious and baked two of them! They don't look very pretty but they taste fantastic!

If you (or anyone else reading) are interested, I learned to make pumpkin pie from this website. It has tons of tips, variations, suggestions, alternate ingredients, and pretty much anything else you can think of. The site's a little weird to navigate, but it's a great resource. 🙂
Homemade pumpkin pie for me too! I use my Grandmother’s recipe and it tastes best served cold (the crust is an oil based crust which is the most appropriate kind per the recipe lol)
