Charging the CoF

Hi..

So I'm trying to get more info on the CoF deal

I have monthly scheduled customers.

Some of them on the onset asked me to charge their card.

 

The rest.. Comms is very minimal. Sometimes they are hard to reach. They usually pay their bill before it's due. sometimes a little too close. A lot of the ones that wait till almost the end to pay their bill I noticed have a CoF. One of those customer, really the one who waits almost until the very end, has saved his same amex card on there probably like 15 times (cause I guess I left the option open for him on the invoice without realizing).

 

I have no idea what language Square shows the customer when they are saving their cards on file. I don't know if there is a written in or implied authorization for the business to charge the customer for outstanding balances. With that, I don't know if some of these customer are expecting an autobill.

 

Can any one enlighten more on this? What does square show the customer (and what terms does the customer agree to) when they are saving their card info.
