How do I add tax to some items but not others?

Any idea if there is a way to have some idea have tax and others not? I will have produce and flowers on my online store and produce does not have tax while flowers do. I guess I could just add the tax to some items price or subtract it from others.

@serendipityteas each item within your inventory you have the option to select if you want to charge it tax or not.

Hey there @MattHebb1995 -

There's an easier way - you'll need to do this from the Items section of your Online Store Dashboard. Once there:

  1. Select the items that are non-taxable by checking its corresponding box.
  2. Then hit the three dots in the top right corner.
  3. click Remove Sales Tax.
  4. Save.

Here's a screenshot of what that setting looks like :

This doesn't work if I want to add items that are taxable to items that are not taxable. I would be great if Square had a way to do items in different categories... taxable and non-taxable. I have a tea store and while tea is not taxable all giftware type items are taxable. So I cannot use my square to ring up the bill.... I have to do it manually and then type in the full amount.
