I would like to get the Chip Card Reader but the search says my LG G5 is not compatible. Do you think the list just hasn't been updated, or is there another reason?

If you mean the Contactless Chip Card Reader then I do believe it would work fine since it uses bluetooth to connect to your phone.

No, it's the Chip Card Reader that is one unit with two slots, one to swipe cards and the other to read the chip. In reading an old post, I see that the issue has been addresses, and it seems like the problem is because it gets plugged into the headphone jack. For some reason it doesn't work with this reader. I'll have to use the Contactless Chip Card Reader.
