Just purchased the azpen 7" HD android tablet-it wont support square? Any suggestions?

I purchased the azpen 7: for the sole purpose of using square for my employees to accept CC at the front desk, but it wont acknowledge the magstripe reader, I enabled microphone, disabbled bluetooth, reloaded app, and still nothing. Any other suggestions before I sent this back

Searching the device compatibility page does not show this device at this time. There are several thousand Android devices on the market, and we strive to support them all.

In some cases, however, the Android device may meet all the requirements for compatibility but still doesn’t communicate properly with Square hardware or with the app.
