@Vdubinw44 If the Cash/Other tender option was chosen, no card information would have been captured making it unable to be recovered. Really sorry about this. If you want to double check if it was rang that way, you can view your Transactions tab on the app or dashboard to see how it was selected. You can also check your emails to see if there's any emails from us about this pending deposit as well.

I can believe that I read you tell a customer your really soory about him or her not receiving a $210.00 payment it might not be a lot to you especially of you count how many people that's happened to where your company just keeps the muny cause I garentee it don't just dissapear, your liable for class action lawsuits pulling this illegal garbage of claiming unaccountability your accountable alright you will see. And why don't you have a phone number to do business with?

We have had this happen as well - definitely credit card payments that were missing.  So far they have all been split gift card, followed by c/c.

I had this same problem because the card on file for me to receive payments was incorrect so I fixed the card and waited a couple days still no payment even after using the instant deposit feature so I figured in might not register due to the card error so I issued a refund and now their is nowhere that I can see the refund being issued and this was to my room mate and she has shownbme her band statement online their is no pending deposit or refund.  What the hell do I do and does this company have a ligitamate phone number or are we just supposed to ask other customers who know little of the inner workings of the company is this even legal I feel like its a scam a very elaborate and prepared scam at that

hi, I accidentally charged a customer as a cash transaction and not a credit card transactions. I did not realize this until hours later after customer had already left. She entered her phone number to receive a receipt. How can I contact that customer?  I did not create a customer profile for her. The only information recorded is the phone number she entered,  that I cannot see.  I need to get ahold of her asap. Please

any information you can give is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Jen

I don't understand why we cannot contact or even see the customer's phone number?  in my case I accidentally charged transaction as cash payment instead of credit. I did not realize until hours after.

Her phone is recorded / saved somewhere with square.

How can we get in touch with our customers  to inform them what happened.

Hi @jb1979, thanks for taking the time to share your experience with this—really sorry for the frustration.😣

In order to maintain the privacy of both our buyers and sellers, we are not able to share contact information without their consent. That being said, you can reach out to our Customer Success Team and they can look up the payment. If your customer entered in a phone number or email address at the time of the sale, an account specialist can attempt to contact your customer on your behalf.

Hope this helps you get in touch. Please don't hesitate to let us know if any questions remain.
