Multiple Devices

Hi, do Square provide multiple card readers for the one account?  I attend multiple markets and need a second device to take payments.

Thanks for getting in touch.

 

You can use as many different readers as you'd like on your Square account! As long as the person taking payments is signed in to your Square account on the POS app, you can take payments on as many different devices as you have people to operate them.

 

Keep in mind you can only pair a reader to a single mobile device at a time - so if you want 3 people taking payments at the same time you'd need 3 readers and each person logged into your Square account on their phone.

So do I just purchase a new reader and then connect it to my account ?

That's it @Sharon72 - You'll want to download the POS app on your other mobile device, log into your existing account on the app then pair the new reader. Check our compatibility page to make sure the new mobile device is compatible with the reader 👍

Is there discounts for multiple (additional) devices ?

Hey @GoulburnWestern,

 

We don't currently have any discounts for buying multiple readers - at $59 though it's still the cheapest card reader you'll get in Australia 🙂
