New Square Register - iPad Air 2

I recently puchaced an iPad Air 2 for my business but realized soon after that the Square Register is not compatable. Is there a newer version of the register, that will be compatable, coming out anytime soon? Wondering if I should return the iPad and get an older one or just wait until Square releases a newer version.

Do you mean the iPad Air 2 isn't compatible with Square Stand?

Because the iPad Air 2 is compatible with our other hardware products and can certainly run Square Register. But it doesn't work with Square Stand and, right now, we don't have plans to make a Stand for the iPad Air 2. Is there going to be a fix for this? Why were we not alerted to this when we purchased the Stand? It simply says it's compatible with the IPad Air. We specifically bought a new IPad Air to be compatible with the stand. Thank you.
