Order ticket printing time

Is there a way to tell Square when to print the order tickets? I would love for them to be printed the second I hit the pay button so my kitchen staff can start fulfilling orders instead of waiting on the customer to add the tip, and when customers walk away from the screen prompting the tip, it wastes so much time. Maybe this could be added as a software update??

I really appreciate your dedication to speed.  Waiting on an order ticket adds seconds every day.  There is a quick work around that your cashiers can use.  I have found this is only needed when you are not actively working a ticket or line.  (when I have 5 tickets and 10 people in line, tickets coming in a little slow doesn't matter).

Use open tickets, and just have the cashier save the ticket.  It will print, and they can hit tickets and tap the ticket and then start checkout.  It will require you to go ahead and take a name on the ticket, but that doesn't slow things down.  But once you save the ticket, it is sent to the printers.  If your order taker is good, the customer won't even notice a delay.

Hope this helps,
