Register Main display

We are upgrading from Square Stand to Square Register. Is there a way to get rid of All Items and Categories (on the left hand side on main display)? 

also when logging out it still allows you to check out customers and such. How do I fix it so when you log out it goes back to the log in screen?

At this time editing the screen layout on the Square Register would be considered a  feature request.

Now in regards to the log out issue I would recommend making sure Passcode are enabled under Settings > Security this should have the PIN screen appearing prior and after every sale.
