Shipping Cost Per Number of Items and Store Layout Question

The threads mingle between and back/forth around topics, so decided to just create my own.  Is there a way to set shipping by number of items instead of just per item or per shipment?

Example: I have shirts that are $20 each, and I can either set them with $5 shipping each, which if the customer buys 2, thier shipping becomes $10.  3 Shirts, and it will become $15.  I do not want this, as it is keeping people from purchasing multiple or any items.

If I set the shipping to per shipment, they could order 2-3 sweatshirts, but the shipping cost to them is only $5.

So, essentially, when it comes to shipping items, it either charges way to much on multiple sales, or not enough.  Is there a way to set the shipping so 1-2 items is $5, 3-5 = $10, 6+ = $15 and so on?

Also, as a side note and question:  When is Square going to do something about layouts for the stores?  The solid white background for the entire page went out of style back in the mid to late 90's, shortly after the invention of AOL.  When can we at the very least change it to black so that it doesn't look like a 3rd grader built the store page?  It is very detracting going from our page to our store.

Hey @PatrickNP, welcome to the seller community and thank you for taking the time to share your experience with this.

Sorry for the frustration with shipping. The ability to set up a conditional shipping cost based on the number of items ordered isn't available with Online Store at this time. I will share your post internally and point out how being able to automate a tiered shipping price option would be helpful for businesses like yours. If you need an immediate solution, you may want to have a look at our eCommerce API opponents: Developer APIs - Square.

As for the design concerns, I don't have access to a specific timeline for when more options will become available with Online Store, but we have partnered with a number of eCommerce services who may be able to provide just the right fit. Have a look at Sean's post to explore more features: Launching an online store? You’ve got options with Square!

Hope this helps clear things up a bit more. Please do keep in touch as we are constantly making improvements based on seller feedback.
