Square Register Ethernet Printing

Looking to hardwire our kitchen printer (TSP100) to our square register.

The wiring is too long to use USB, and the printer has ethernet capabilities.  I was wondering if the new Square Register's ethernet port on the hub is capable of printing, or if ethernet printing can only happen if hooked into a router.

You would hook that Ethernet printer to a router. And either hook your register via Ethernet or WiFi to that router.
