Square Stand - IPad screen saver

I need to setup my iPad in the Square Stand to never sleep so the cash drawer, scanner, and printer stay connected.

If it goes to sleep mode - then everything has to reconnect which is a time delay.

Any consideration for including a screen saver into the POS App to my iPad screen isn't always on?  That way the iPad is always on but the screen is protected.

Its sounding like you've been bitten by the Apple/Stand bug talked about in this thread:

Known Issue with Square Stand and iOS 12.1

Keep an eye on that thread for all the updates.

But, having a built-in screen saver isn't a bad idea at all....

thank you - I think this is the same issue.  Can't keep having the application shut down and restart.  In meantime I just have the iPads set to never sleep.  but eventually that will wear on the pixels.  Thank you!!

FWIW, I have an old iPad 2 that never sleeps that’s still humming right along. I do have some ghosting issues when I switch screens, but they fade away in about 30 seconds. Don’t worry too much about killing pixels... 🙂
