Is it possible to have it where employees are only allowed to offer store credit on to a gift card and not issue a refund back to their card? I've had employees forget to swipe a gift card and by default it goes back to the customer's card. Thank you!

Hey @rire!
Unfortunately, there isn't a way to restrict the types of refunds that your employees are able to process at this time. However, I can definitely bring this up to our Employee Management team as I agree it would be useful in your case. We'll make sure to announce any updates to this thread as we hear of them. 👍

I'm afraid I don't have an answer for your question, but could you clarify what you mean about an employee forgetting to swipe a gift card?
If you're ringing up a gift card item, it shouldn't be charging anything until you've already swiped and loaded the card.
Or am I misunderstanding the problem?
Just looking to avoid a pitfall I may not be aware of. Thanks!

It's for when we do refunds. We only issue store credit (loading on to a gift card) but if you don't swipe the gift card it goes back on to the customer's card by default.
