Terminal Ticket (not receipt) Printing

We are opening a restaurant using Square for Restaurants and we are interested in using the Square Terminal for tableside payments. However, we still want to print out the table's ticket to take to the table before later take the terminal for payment. Is it possible to print a ticket for the table on the terminal? Or how would we be able to achieve this without having to get a square stand?

Good news—the answer is yes. You can print a bill from Square Terminal, take that to your customer for review, then bring Square Terminal to the table for payment. One insight from our side to consider—we've seen success from our sellers who simply bring Square Terminal to the table to review the check in the first place. 😉

 

Suggested workflow would be:

  • Choose the saved ticket.
  • Find the name of the ticket at the top of the screen (it will show the amount of items next to it).
  • Select the drop-down menu in the upper right corner.
  • Tap Print Bill.

I'm not sure how Square for Restaurants works exactly compared to Square POS, but if it is an open ticket like in Square POS then you could pre-print a ticket so you have something to show the customer then on the terminal take the payment to close the open ticket.  Would that be something that Square for Restaurants supports @Tom?
