Using an Android to accept payments at Trade shows and Flea Markets ?

Good Morning - I make and sell small wood working items and fractal designed items at trade shows and flea markets. I have an Android phone. Can I accept payment with the Android and their software download or do I require additional hardware to do this? I want to do the free version and pay by the transaction. I am finding the setting up of this a bit confusing.

@GenesisFractal You absolutely can use the point of sale app on an android phone.  You can get the free headphone jack swiper to use to swipe cards in person (much faster and cheaper than keying them in), but I recommend going to best buy or the square store and buying this:

This will ensure that you are protected from chargebacks and anomalies so to speak.
