While Square cannot guarantee acceptance of Virtual Credit Cards it is usually a mismatch between the MCC (Merchant Category Code) registered to the Virtual Credit Cards and the MCC issued to you by Square that causes a decline. We are able to update MCCs for your Square account if you were to get in touch with our Support Team!

New to Square, we are having problems processing virtual cards from Jetstar for our holiday accommodation payments. Manually entered gives an error, but the trans still appears in Trans history. Tried doing as a gift card (now have two trans for same amount!)
We also have virtual cards from Bookings.com, yet to try.
Square support responded initially saying Square must have a CVV to process a payment, or send the customer an invoice. Dont think the invoice is an option. Will see if the trans payments will clear.

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you're having trouble processing virtual credit cards!
While we're not able to look into private account info via this forum, it may be an MCC issue or may not - in order to check we'd need to check your transaction history to see what has occurred here - please give us a call on 1800 760 137 for more!
