What items were discounted?

I need to see what exact items were discount with a specific code for December. Where do I go to find that?

Hey! Thanks for reaching out. There are a few ways you can view this:

1: Downloading a CSV of your transactions for the day.

When you download the Transactions CSV report from your Dashboard you can view each discount as well as the name of the employee who applied the discount. To download this report:

1. Navigate to the Transactions section of your online Dashboard.
2. Click Export in the upper right.
3. Select Transactions CSV to download the file to your computer.

1: On your Square Dashboard

Visit Reports > Discounts on your Square Dashboard and you will see which discounts were applied and how many of them were applied.

This will not work for us. We run monthly reports. I need to see what items were discounted with this code for the entire month. Out of thousands of transactions

Hello, we have the same question. 

We'd like to know, on a weekly/monthly basis, which items the discount was applied to.  So we can know which products are most popular when discounted, elasticity implications. 

Any solutions would be great.

Hey @morganm and @Handmadesask I hear you - it's definitely not as convenient of a report as our normal sales summaries that we generate. 

If you need to view these reports by specific time frames, you can still do that by exporting the CSV reports. Whatever time frame you have selected is what will also export. You can then create formulas in your CSV files to filter for only certain discounts or products. 

The ability to view them all in detailed reporting on the Dashboard is still a feature request at this time.
