Card not charged swipe straight through

Just received my swiper. Tried a visa. It says card not charged swipe straight through.

After several attempts it takes me to Lets talk about you.

There it wants me to re-enter all of my information again.

All ready have my bank account set up. So that is working .

Not sure what to do.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @Liveonce - Sorry to hear you're having trouble. I'm guessing that you just created your account, so I'm including this Getting Started Guide that you might find helpful. We have some folks who don't completely activate their account and that can prevent you from taking payments (or practicing) in the beginning. 

 

Here are the instructions for taking payments with Square's magstripe reader. If you're still having trouble, let us know and we'll see if we can figure out what's going on.

Hi:

I have filled in information several times.

Keeps saying we have encountered an error.

Manybe because we are a new build it is not accepting the postal code.

I have no idea.

Wish I could talk to someone.

Not very good customer service.

If you can only phone when you have account and you

cannot set one up then how can you start????
