My barcode scanner (Symbol DS6707) is adding "bu" in front of all my barcodes

As the title says when I scan a barcode using the Symbol DS6707 it adds "bu" in front of the actual barcode info.

Using:

Square Stand

iPad 4 iOS 11.0.1

Square contactless and chip reader + Dock

Star Micronics TSP143IIU

I have tested the scanner on three computers and it does not add the unwanted "bu".

I have updated my iPad and Square app.

I have tried factory reset of the scanner.

I have restarted the iPad and disconected all devices.

I have deleted the square app and reinstalled it.

Not sure what to do next??
