How do I set up for a UK-based business?

I am trying to set up for a UK-based business, but can't find settings that will configure the point of sale app for this. Everything assumes I'm in the US, charging in dollars, with a US address, US tax id, US bank account and US social security number.

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to our Seller Community 🙂

 

It looks like you signed up for a Square account quite some time ago, before we had a prescence in the UK! As a result your account is registered as a US account.

 

You've got two possible solutions here:

 

1) You can contact our UK support team on 0800 098 8008 and request that they deactivate your existing US account. Once this is done, you can sign up again with the same email address, making sure you select "United Kingdom" as your country.

2) You can sign up for a new Square account with a different email address and select "United Kingdom" as your country.

 

Once you've done one of the above, simply sign out of the old account on the app and web then sign in with your newly created UK account.
