I cannot connect my reader to my device due to apparent country incompatibility

I have a new Samsung Tab A 8" which is up to date and sq states is compatible. when I try to connect the device says Reader Not Compatible with the country you are in, you must use a reader specific to your country.

I AM IN AUSTRALIA AND BOTH WHERE BOUGHT HERE IN AUSTRALIA SO WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
