We purchased Square Reader today and have setup our account. We have tried to do the $1.00 payment during the setup process and the reader is not reading chip or magistripe to bring up the pin pad. Is there an issue with our reader or something we need to do? I have gone through all of the troubleshooting on the website.

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your card reader - if you've followed all the troubleshooting steps available on our Support Centre, then it may be the case that your reader is faulty and will need to be replaced. 🤔
To get stared, you can visit our website and fill out a warranty return form. You can expect a new reader in the mail within 2-7 business days.

Hi Chris,
we have sorted the issue. it took around 4 hours of turning it on and off opening and closing the app and re installing and then randomly it began to update itself (I somehow forced the update apparently) but we are now up and running.
Love it and works well in its ealry stages now
