In setting up my bank account with Square it direct debits and then refunds .01cent within my account.
Is this the only time direct debits are used with my bank account?
I need to know if there are any other instances they may occur as my bank charges me a transaction fee for direct debits out of this particular account which would mean I need to investigate a different bank account option if this is the case.

Hey @Desley,
Thanks for getting in touch.
Debits are also used if you process a refund and don't have enough within the Square account to cover the refund, or in the event of a chargeback / disputed transaction that has already been deposited to you. Read more about protecting yourself from Chargebacks here.

Thanks for your speedy reply and help Seamus. Now I know what to expect and can talk to my bank about it.
