Does Square offer recurring payments (subscriptions)?

I've read several explanations about recurring payments and it sounds like I have to manually go in each month and run the payment using the card saved on file and that is more than just taking a persons card at the appointment. Is that accurate? I currently use a program that runs the card for me at the beginning of the month for my subscription.  I don't have to do anything but enter the payment amount into my software (it's not integrated yet). The only invoice that goes to the client is the one saying the payment was run, not stating the amount is due and the client has to click "use card on file" for every month.  Please let me know if I'm just not understanding the vernacular.

Thank you,

Denise

yes, you can do automatic recurring payments.  you just need to have the customer's card on file for it to automatically charge.  If they don't have a card on file they will be able to check a box that says use this card for future payments or something along those lines.
