This new terminal works for pizza delivery. Can be  connected to a phone threw bluetooth or

Hey @AHA!

The new Terminal actually doesn't connect to another device because it's all in one with the app built in.

You'll need some sort of internet connection with it such as wifi or a hotspot.

Can multiple users log in to the app on 1 terminal. For example if we share 1 between multiple companies. Any restrictions on amount of user accounts on 1 device?

Admin

Yes @Kristina2! You may be interested in looking into using Team Management! You can set up multiple Team Members and allow them to sign into the Terminal. There's no restriction on how many Team Members you have listed.

I wanted to see if I could print a cash reciept and then it would only take a card and when I tried to go back it asked for a pin and I have never set a pin up. Now I can’t use it. What do I do?

@Tdibros - It sounds like you'll want to contact our Support Team so they can help with some troubleshooting and get you back into your account!

How can we share this square terminal between 2 users with different bank accounts? Because now square POS is secured by pass code. If one user forget to sign out, the other user has no way to sign in to the terminal. Are we able to sign the other user out if we add each other as a team member? Since Square allow one account/terminal to use at different locations and tag to different bank accounts. Are we allow to assign each user as a different "location"? This way all the users can be managed under a master square account and money can be transfer to designate bank accounts as well. Just an idea.

Hi @CNRMT! I see your frustration with having multiple users on the same device and how it would benefit your business. Right now, this would be a feature request. The transactions are not transferable, even to another location under the same main account.

You can create multiple locations and use them, as you see fit. Keep in mind, if you need to switch between accounts, you will still have to log out/log back in to select the other location.

I was really looking forward to getting the new Terminal but disappointed to find out it does not take chip debit cards ( in Canada). Can you please add this feature to the Terminal and contactless devices soon

CNRMT

It does take Chip debit in Canada with passcode. I just tried. But this terminal asks customer if they want "Debit or Saving" rather than "Chequing or Saving". Some customers debit card have Visa debit function so it is a little bit confusing.

Just got my terminal today, already experiencing connectivity issue. (my office internet is fine. I cross checked with computer, tablet and cell phone). Terminal would show it was connected to the internet but when I tried to log in or ran a transaction, it would say there was a connectivity problem. I will keep my observation, if this problem happens constantly, I will have no choice but return the terminal.

Thanks for helping clarify the debit/chequing issue, @CNRMT. I'll be sure to surface your post with our Point of Sale team. As for the connection issues, these troubleshooting tips usually ensure that everything is performing as expected: WiFi Troubleshooting. Hope this helps!
