[New] Save Time with Bulk Editing

Hello Sellers, 

We’re excited to announce that you can now edit item details in your catalog in bulk, saving you time and energy when managing your item library.

We know editing many items at once has been a tedious and time-consuming activity requiring you to edit items one-by-one or by importing a CSV file. With Bulk Editing, you can make up to 250 updates at once in bulk right from your item library in your Square Dashboard. You can even customize which columns are visible to keep your updates contextual.

How does it work?

1. In your Item Library, multi-select the items you want to modify by selecting the item checkboxes and then select Edit Items on the bottom of your screen.
2. Click into the cells you want to modify including any item variations within the drop down rows and make your changes.
3. Click Update Variations on the top right of your screen to save changes.

Note: At this time, this feature is only available on Square Dashboard on desktop browsers.

 

We hope being able to update many items in one session right from your item library makes managing your catalog even easier and gives you time back. Keep an eye out for more advanced features coming to the bulk editing tool coming soon.

How does this help when your inventory consists of hundreds of one-of-a-kind items?

Can you update Inventory amounts for each item in bulk editing?  That really is the main thing that I need to be able to do

Hey there, @LynnsLavender & @paintatreasure - 

Bulk editing will allow you to edit to update those items all at one time, so you don't have to open each item individually to make changes. 

As of now, updating the inventory is not available during bulk editing. This doesn't mean it couldn't be added in the future of this particular feature.
