In your screenshot above it looks like there is barcode scanner functionality but I dont see this in the iOS version that I just downloaded. Is barcode scanning available? 

Also can a bluetooth barcode scanner be connected to iOS?

Actually NeedleHaystack is very observant -- the sample image in this post shows that barcode function -- but the actual IOS SQ4Retail does NOT have any trigger to access the iphone's camera to read any barcodes.  I would love that feature as well...and I would also love it if we could use the iphone to do inventory transfers and inventory. 

BTW for those of you who don't already know this -- even though it is not widely acknowledged, SQ is able to read QR barcodes.  It cannot generate them but it can read them.  We love QR codes because it compresses a lot of digits into a very tiny symbol.  We do upwards of 45 digits into .25x.25 or .375x.375 QR code (Alphanumeric).

Untll I read your post a minute ago I did not realize that SQ4Retail iOS had finally added the access to the barcode function on the iOS version.  Very exciting.  

I did a very brief test just now using a document we setup on a Google Sheet.   It worked but only on Version 1 codes and only at 1/2" grid.    ( We need to do more testing, but I cannot do that from home.)

But, what I can state is that my iphone SQ4R was able to read a .5" QR code using 60% black with low error correction where the barcode was shown an Apple Cinema Display monitor using the iOS camera on SQ4Retail iOS,  it can handle 1/2" QR code 

But -- this is very exciting!   

So, for the moment, I can at least confirm that the scanner does appear to read Version 1, Low Loss Correction QR codes that range from 100% to 60% black using the iOS SQ4R from an Apple Cinema Display.   We will try to test it on actual paper and hopefully get better results (meaning reading Version 2 and smaller QR codes...)

We will be very interested to see how this works with inventory counts...
