Square Appointments is an all-in-one online booking and scheduling system — helping you keep your calendar, staff, and payment processing all in one place.
Previously, if you used Square Appointments for individual use, there was a $30 per month subscription fee. Now, Appointments for Individuals is available to use completely free of charge! There's no monthly subscription fee. You’ll only pay Square’s standard processing fee when you accept your client’s card.
There are a couple of other changes with this update in addition to the new free version of Appointments, so read below to see how Square for Teams (i.e. managing staff with Appointments) has changed as well.
New Pricing Updates
In addition to the monthly subscription update, if you use Square for Teams, you'll also see a change to your per transaction fee for card-present payments. Your processing fee for card-present (swiped, dipped, or tapped) payments will be 2.5% + $0.10 per transaction. For all other types of transactions (such as card-not-present, Virtual Terminal, or invoices), you’ll pay Square's standard processing fee.

- Appointments for Individuals: Free!
- 2 to 5 staff: $50 per month and 2.5% + $0.10 processing fee
- 6 - 11 staff: $90 per month and 2.5% + $0.10 processing fee
