Sell gift cards on your site

Now you can offer Square gift cards for sale quickly and easily right on your site. To get started, enable Square gift cards, and make sure the option to sell eGift cards online is toggled on. A unique gift card ordering page URL is auto-generated for you. Feel free to share that link however you wish. To include your gift card ordering page as part of your site, head on over to your website dashboard and select Gift Cards under the Items menu on the left. Tell your story and share your knowledge with a blog

We call it Stories. With the new Stories feature, you can add a Stories Overview page that links out to each individual story. Use Stories to promote new items, share recipes, engage with your customers or industry, or whatever inspires you!

This detailed help article walks you through the process of getting started. Or to jump right in, edit your site and click + Add at the top to add a new page. You’ll see options for a Stories Overview page and individual Story pages.

Set order minimums for pickup orders

To help you maintain order-prep efficiency, you can now set a minimum order amount for pickup. To enable it, head to your delivery and pickup settings.  Select Edit Location on each location for which you wish to set a minimum, and choose Edit next to Pickup Settings.

Charge a service fee on deliveries to help you offset expenses, such as packaging or utensils. You can do so in your delivery and pickup settings. Custom fonts help reinforce your brand

Keep your online identity consistent with your brand by uploading your own fonts. Your site must be on a Professional plan or higher in order to be able to upload a custom font.

While in the site editor, click the Site Design button on the bottom left. In the Fonts section, select the little slider icon on the top right. There you’ll see your primary site font selections as well as a link to Add or manage fonts. Click the link to upload your fonts. You’ll be met with an upgrade prompt if you’re not already on an appropriate plan.

We’re delighted to bring you these updates and hope you enjoy them. We’re committed to building a great experience for you and your customers, and will continue releasing many more features and enhancements in the coming months.

Super Seller

Thank you so much @PeteyD ! These are some really great updates that will definitely help me and I'm sure a lot of other sellers!

The minimum order is a great new feature it will allow me to put more of my instore items on the website.

It would be great if there was a way to organize your items that are in your item library by the Weebly category.

Alternately if you could access the individual items trough the category page.

It gets hard to sort thought all the items and it would be a great time saver for people who have a large variety of items.

Love the newly added ability to import and set our own fonts. Super simple. Done. Thank you!

My customers not being able to schedule deliveries has been an enormous issue for me. I have been waiting hoping this is a update that would come soon, but it hasn't come yet and I will likely try to find another platform soon. 😞

Any chance of getting the "minimum order" option for shipped orders as well?

Still waiting for the ability to pre-sale items... also waiting on the ability to set a delivery block of time versus on-demand.

RE: Custom fonts

Square Folks and Sellers,

It would be good for sellers to know about web font licensing requirements. It is currently not clear what the licensing situation is with fonts uploaded to an online store site.

Here are some articles on font licensing,

I am also curious about possible future Square online store support for Google Fonts.

Presale items are a main reason we use Square sites for pop up stores, I wish they would make that easier.  Give us a delivery date instead of a timeline out from when they order.  If I put a site up for 2 weeks with a cut off order date, we produce and then ship by a specfic date.  I wish that was easier to do in Weebly.  I wish the categories and locations flowed more seamless between Square and Weebly instead of having to set them up twice.  And I wish we could add more locations for individual stores like we could on the old square sites.

When opting in to for both Pick up and Delivery options. Customers no longer had the ability to use Apple Pay/ Google Pay to check out. And instead had to manually type in unless they had Square saved their info via text confirmation. Has this been fixed?

One comment I have, for the custom global fonts it doesn't appear to flow into the Pop-Ups we have on the site... if you can get the fonts to roll across to the pop-ups that would be fantastic!
